This area is the bulk of the mountain, which is rocky, holds few prey, and is covered in snow for the majority of the year. For those who can survive here, they are rather safe from threats such as other humans or other wolves. However, surviving here long term in the first place presents its own, very harsh set of challenges. The wind here is fierce, and can draw frostbite upon anyone's bare skin within minutes, if it is in the dead of winter. Secondly, storms are brewed here regularly, systems that tend to dump sleet and snow over the rocky terrain, creating treacherous ice. The small rivulets here, if not frozen by the cold, plummet down steep slopes and usually form very small, wild waterfalls. Just to gather water for every day life is a dangerous hassle. Loneliness can be an issue here, as well as starvation. With very little vegetation, most large mammals do not wander up this far
Snow hares, the occasional, small herd of mountain sheep and goats, mice, hawks, and eagles may be seen here. Members are only allowed to roleplay a hunt without the admin's assistance if the prey of the hunt is small game. If one would like to roleplay a hunt centered around the goats or sheep, you MUST contact the Admin (either Atlas or myself). From there, the admin will use a randomizer to determine whether the hunt is successful. Additionally, the Nature account will roleplay any of the large prey- members are not allowed to play out the large prey, as they are considered NPCs.
