Had let tawny vision track across visible terrain, scanning and interpreting what was where while waiting. The alpha let her eyes close she went quiet and seemed to draw in a few deep inhales. Chocolate male remained as low as he could, ears of onyx staining pinned to his cranium and nasals flaring as the swirling odors within winters breeze tickled his sensors. Soon enough the flash of motion in the center of his sight brought him to quick launch. Rear legs tensed under his frame, large paws holding him somewhat upon ivory blankets below. Bulkier form shifting lightly as tightened muscles released built force to thrust dark form forward, taking quick pursuit behind multi-colored she-wolf. He offered no words, no surprise and no hesitation. Mind glued to one thing, and one thing only; food. His current objective was to remain close to Kevser, block the targeted bucks escape route and guide him towards awaiting ambush. He would remain a few steps behind and a few steps off to the side of the smaller lupine. As she suddenly turned, he continued straight. Aiming to cut further down the tree-line from young buck, as he took a few long strides past where Kevser made her sudden pull towards the now more than likely alerted prey he too would suddenly make hard turn and make B-line towards target. Falling a short bit behind more brute strength than agility, coffee pelted male would ease his pressure from the buck to small extent, taking up pace that would allow him to excrete necessary speed when the time truly came for him to make heavy approach. Bright eyes, now flaring with vigor and adrenaline, stared down retreating deer. It was clear that he now thought he had the best of the trailing duo and seemed to remain unsuspecting of what may lay ahead. At this point in time, Atlas and Cicuta remained unseen, a good sign that the spooked beast may not notice them until it was too late. For now, Gethyn only prayed that was the case, that would be the best outcome for the small packs survival. Wolves Addressed: None Wolves Mentioned: Alpha Kevser ; Atlas ; Cicuta ; Nature OOC: I hope this does justice for my absence, didn't mean to take so long and I'm sorry if I'm a bit rusty on hunts. It has certainly been a while since my last RPed hunt.

The buck’s head shot up in a wild, startled manner, as something flashed before his vision. It was a mere blur at first, due to the heavy snow, but it approached him and the details began to clear. It was yet another wolf, its eyes locked straight on him. The young buck sent out a massive, screeching snort, one that would have echoed had the snow not been there to dampen the noise. The buck locked his knees and began to prance, which slowed him slightly but gave him time to think before he made another move. The whites of his eyes flashed readily and he stomped his front leg as he came to a brief stand still. The predators were nearing him, their scent overwhelmingly disgusting. Fear boiled quickly through his veins now and his muscles began to quiver. They were nearly upon him now, so he had to do something. Blindly, the deer veered to the left and scrambled over the bank, crashing desperately into the freezing lake. His weight immediately splintered the ice, and his heavy body fell through. For a moment, his entire body and head was submerged, and a new wave of panic hit him. The water was so cold that it shocked him, causing immediate tremors to run down his spine, his eyes to nearly roll into the back of his head. With a shot of instinct, the buck reemerged and spluttered as air finally entered his lungs. His head whipped around towards the canines while his front legs paddled frantically, smashing the ice in front of him. He felt the cold and felt the doom that settled into his gut. The only question now, would the wolves come after him here in the lake? (I will post for Kevser as soon as I can- it looks as if Cicuta has not been posted for since last month, so we may just have to continue the hunt without her if she doesn’t post promptly)
